The months of January and February are delightful for many reasons, but it’s the red carpets we really look forward to. The recently-held Golden Globes provided just enough to wet the whistle in terms of sartorial splendor, and last night’s People’s Choice Awards didn’t disappoint the fashionista in us, either. Hollywood’s most gorgeous starlets took the carpet by storm in an array of dreamy dresses perfectly fitting of Hollywood royalty. As is per usual with an awards show, there were definitely a few misses, but we’ll save that for another day. It’s Monday, after all, and we need all the encouragement we can get. Here are our picks for the absolute Best Dressed of the night.
In Elie Saab Couture.
We’ve been obsessing over Rachel McAdam’s style since The Notebook, and in true Regina George fashion, she is still killin’ it.
We love when a big time celebrity keeps it real, which is exactly what Bryce Dallas Howard does every awards season when she marches to the department store to scope out the dress scene. While most other starlets are busy being fitted by stylists in priceless gowns, Bryce purchases off the rack to accommodate her size 6 frame, which is scorchin’ hot in this plunging black dress, by the way. Sleek, sophisticated and sultry, to boot, this was one of our favorite looks of the night, basic black or not.
If you haven’t yet checked out Netflix’s Jessica Jones, seriously, close your laptop and open a new tab immediately. The show is that good, and its star, Krysten Ritter, is phenomenal as a cursing superhero with major attitude. A far cry from her on-screen persona, Krysten looked amazing in this gorgeous embellished burgundy gown, showcasing her style prowess for all to see. Can you dig it?
